Family Tables
In this section, we have assembled our available genealogical information into Family Group Sheets. Each Family Group is numbered in the ""XXX.88.999"", where "XXX" represents the abbreviation for the paternal name, "88" represents the Generation Number ("01" = earliest documented family progenitor) and "99" represents the individual in that generation.
Thus, the 'baseline' progenitor for the branch of Darwins we have researched, William Darwin of Louisa County, Virginia (1707-86) may be designated as DAR-01.01. In turn, his fifth son, James Darwin, is designated as DAR-02-05.
These codes may be found at the top of each page; within the page, only the Generation and Individual number is displayed. In the list below, the name of the 'baseline' progenitor of the family line is given.
No genealogy can ever hope to be comprehensive, and we have not endeavoured to research all collateral lines. But there is always room in the forest for more trees, and we are always glad to receive corrections and/or additions to these pages: please do e-mail us!.
